The key is preparation.

So you get into a good swing one afternoon with dedication and commitment - But sometimes all the prep doesn't help if you leave your lunch on the bench while rushing out the door the next morning.

Here are some Paleo friendly Lunch Ideas for when your grabbing something on the run.

THE SUSHI SHOP

Sashimi sushi with seaweed salad and lemon juice (avoid the soy sauce).

Ask for plain Tuna or Salmon sashimi, add some seaweed - voila!

THE BAKERY

Opt for the pre made salads or if not available the gluten free sandwich selection. You will probably still get margarine on your bread but its still better than going for the pie.

LOCAL DELI CAFE

The selection is often way better - if you go for a yummy salad try to avoid one with feta or mayo. Don't make eye-contact with the gluten free almond cake - its full of refined sugars!

THE SUPERMARKET

I like to go for the roast beef or a gluten free low carb sausage (Biersticks etc). Some pre- washed rocket and some fruit. Usually the easiest but also most tempting to buy a treat. See it more as an opportunity to also get the dinner shopping sorted.

Above I picked A bag of pre-washed green lettuce and some smoked salmon. No sauce needed, just a squeeze of lemon juice, I bought the bottled version to avoid the mess.

There are a number of healthy cafes popping up all around the city and suburbia. Use the time one evening instead of scrolling your Facebook page to google and familiarise yourself with your options.

You'll thank yourself next time you forget your lunch!
